Bernardo Flores is still managing to kick everyone’s collective behinds, although no one had a very good weekend this past week in the Transitions Championship. A youngster by the name of Gary Woodland, who has sneakily had a very good start to the 2011 season, (Yesterday’s win, a 2nd at the Bob Hope, a 5th and a 6th, have him 3rd on the money list) wasn’t picked by anyone in the league…but might be an interesting play later in the season if he keeps this form up.
Here is a look a the current top-5, pretty similar to the way it has looked all year, with everyone chasing Mr. Flores.
Be sure to get your picks in this week for the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. It will be a nice field as everyone gets keyed up for the Masters in two weeks. Happy picking fantasy golfers, and good luck.
If you haven’t heard, the new hats are now available in the shop. You should stop by and get yourself one. No way to look better on the course than to sport your brand new RedBird Golf hat. They come in both cream and black, so there’s a color for everyone.
And if the stylish looks and cool RedBird logo aren’t enough to convince you, check out the powers that the new hats gave RedBird Web Guru, Andy Bunker. He couldn’t do any of these tricks before he got the hat, and now he is practically Tiger Woods. Enjoy…
Here are the current RedBird Sports fantasy golf league standings. Bernardo is still whooping up on everyone, but there are some new names in the top 5, including RedBird Jr. Brandon Turner.

What a weekend for us as Seattle golf fans. The return of Freddie Couples to the Top-10 was a thrill to see for all of us here at RedBird. Boom Boom flashed that old Riviera magic in the first 3 rounds, and was actually in the lead going into the weekend…but sadly that back acted up again on Sunday and cost him what could have been his first win since 2003. Still, just seeing the guy in contention on Sunday was great fun, and hopefully will mean good things in 2011. We all know he will play well at Augusta, maybe we can string together some other solid rounds on both tours this year and become the second player to win a PGA and Champions Tour event in the same year.
Leave it to Jay Turner to predict that Freddie would thrive at the course where he won back in 1990 and 1992. Maybe it was a good guess, maybe it was ESP from a life long golf buddy, Jay called it, and that $200,000+ puts Jay solidly in second place in the RedBird Sports Golf League. We are all still chasing Bernardo Flores who picked Bubba Watson a few weeks back and won over a million bucks. Here is a look at the top-5…

In the third installment of RedBird Shop talk, Jay Turner explains what lie angle is, and how it directly impacts the fitting of your golf clubs. There are a lot of factors that go into finding the golf clubs that fit you correctly, and lie angle is one of the major components. At RedBird we talk often about how minor flaws in your golf clubs may be the difference between you being able to play your best golf, and improper lie angle is one of most common problems we see in golf clubs that aren’t custom fit. We hope you enjoy the video, and we hope that this will help you understand just how important it is to find a set of golf clubs that fit you perfectly.
In our latest edition of RedBird Shop talk, Jay Turner gives you a walk through on why finding the proper length golf club is a very important part of the custom fitting process. Give it a look and hopefully you will better understand this crucial aspect to finding the perfect fit golf clubs.
